Adansonia digitata, or African Baobab, is the most common of all baobab species. Adansonia digitata is the only baobab found on the mainland of Africa where it can reach heights of upto 25 meters. The trunk can reach diameters of 14-16 meters. It takes a stunning 30-40 pases to walk around an ancient Adansonia digitata. Baobab trees exist with ages around a thousand years! Like the other Adansonia species Adansonia digitata can be kept as house plant. Minimum temperatures should not drop below 15 degrees Celsius. Keep the pants dry during these dormant periods.
