Adansonia grandidieri (Grandidier's Baobab) is one of the most impressive species of all Adansonia trees of Madagascar. Adansonia grandidieri is named after the French botanist and explorer, Alfred Grandidier (1836–1921). Adansonia grandidieri is suitable as indoor plant or bonsai.
Depending of the species cultivated and the conditions of cultivation, Adansonia species are usually dormant for part of the year and they bear no leaves during this period.
