Young Agave applanata (syn. Agave schnittspahnii) plants are very attractive. During the first 4-5 years the applanata plants grow rather steady but not fast. It makes alot of young sprouts around the motherplant which you can cut of and transplant in seperate containers.
Agave applanata needs bright light and a gritty soil with good drainage. Water this Agave well during the growing period.
