Agave durangensis is a relatively large Agave. A diameter of over 1.5 meters is no rarity. Agave durangensis has blue greenish leaves which have huge thorns and a large apical spike.
Agave durangensis is found in the Mexican states of Zacatecas and Durango, where it grows on rocky ground at altitudes between 1600 and 2600 meters.
This Agave resists drought very well, however it should be watered on a regular basis in the periods during growth. Durangensis is a moderately hardy Agave.
