Lophophora diffusa is the Peyote cactus found in the most southern region of the Lophophora habitats. Lophophora diffusa grows in a relatively small area between Vizarron, Bucareli and Toliman in the state of Queretaro (Mexico). Lophophora diffusa flowers are usually white.
Cultivation of Lophophora diffusa cacti is the same as for the other plants belonging to the genus Lophophora. Most important is to use a soil mix with high drainage capability. This species is sensitive to infections on its root base. When you apply a 1 cm top layer of grit, propagation of Lophophora diffusa will mostly be without any problems. It is a great plant to have in your collection.
