Lophophora jourdaniana (syn. L. williamsii var. jourdaniana) is an interesting member within the Lophophora group. Its origin is not known. Lophophora jourdaniana might be a cultivation crossing between Lophophora fricii and Lophophora williamsii. This Lophophora is clustering, like Lophophora williamsii v. caespitosa, at later age. Its flowers are violet to deep pink.

Cultivation of Lophophora jourdaniana is properly done following the Lophophora Cultivation Guide at the CactusPlaza website. Lophophora jourdaniana can be propagated from cuttings or it can be grafted (for example on Trichocereus or Selenicereus stock). Unfortunately Lophophora jourdaniana seeds are not offered very often.
