Pseudolithos migiurtinus, caudex Ø 5 cm

€58.00

Pseudolithos migiurtinus (syn. White Sloanea migiurtina) is a very interesting member of the Asclepiadaceae (Apocynaceae) family, also called Milkweed family. The species is native to some of the northern and eastern parts of Somalia (Africa). Pseudolithos species grow in full sunlight in a mineral, gritty soil. Pseudolithos migiurtinus is found in different appearances of form as well as colour. This succulent can reach sizes of approximately 5-6 cm in diameter and 7-8 cm in height.

In cultivation the natural growth conditions of Pseudolithos should be simulated as good as possible. The plants are very vulnerable to rot so an extremely permeable mineral soil mix should be used. During the growth season the plants must be kept at high temperatures and must receive alot of (sun)light. Water frequently during this period but make sure the soil dries completely between watering. When in doubt, do not water! In winter temperatures must not drop below 12° C.

Good quality Pseudolithos migiurtinus seeds are available in our seed section.
