{"id":1878,"count":1,"description":"Pereskiopsis is een erg bijzondere cactus groep. Ze lijken helemaal niet op een cactus. Alleen de vervelende naaldjes doen je aan een cactus denken. Er zijn ongeveer 10 soorten Pereskiopsis te vinden in Mexico, Californi\u00eb, Yucatan en Guatamala. Ze groeien als een boom of meer als een struik. Pereskiopsis groeit prima in diverse typen cactus grond. Belangrijk is dat de grond goed water door laat. De planten hebben regelmatig een gietbeurt nodig. Persoonlijk vind ik het lastig om Pereskiopsis door de winter te krijgen. Daarom houd ik ze warm bij 18 \u00b0C en geef ik ze water in de winter. Wil je ze toch rust geven in de winter houd ze dan droog bij een minimum temperatuur van 15 \u00b0C. Pereskiopsis groeit verbluffend snel en dit maakt haar tot een perfecte onderstam om op te enten. De enten verliezen wel enigszins hun natuurlijke vorm. Daarom wordt Pereskiopsis voornamelijk gebruikt om zaailingen op te enten. Deze zaailingen worden later weer van de Pereskiopsis afgehaald en opnieuw ge\u00ebnt op een wat langzamer groeiende onderstam zoals Trichocereus of Myrtillocactus. Cactussen die op Pereskiopsis ge\u00ebnt zijn kan je laten wortelen door de Pereskiopsis 2 cm onder de ent af te snijden. Steek de stek met ent in bimskies. De ent moet net een stukje in de bims zitten. De Pereskiopsis zal weer wortelen en uiteindelijk zal de ent haar eigen wortels vormen.
